GARGOYLE IN PARTS

If you’ve followed my work for a while now, you’ll probably be familiar with Gargoyle. Gargoyle is one of my many independent projects. Basically, it’s a collection of my reporting in print form—as in, written work.

The first book, Gargoyle: Reporting from frontlines, jail cells, and trap houses, was published in 2021. You can buy it here.

I’ve since been working on Gargoyle II. It’s taking a while due to how busy I’ve become with Popular Front, Away Days, and several ongoing freelance projects I’ve taken on. And so, I thought it could be interesting to publish extracts, and in some cases whole chapters, of Gargoyle II here on Substack. I think this is a great platform and want to try and generate some cash using it (either if I turn on paid subs here, or just from traffic to the book when it’s ready... not sure yet).

My abstract, usually pissed off ramblings of BIN WORLD, are fun for me to write, but it’s not journalism. Journalism is what I like best. So I’m doing this Gargoyle Mode Substack too.

Don’t fret, Gargoyle II will be out in full this year as a book, both paperback and audio. However if you don’t want to wait you can read pieces of it on here and maybe pay for it if you like at some point.
